The Shoghaken Ensemble playing “Angin Yars” (by Shahen) and the Armenian dance “Tamzara” at their concert in Yerevan on Sept. 4, 2009. Included in the piece are examples of the Armenian mugham, on kamancha, kanon, duduk, ud, and shvi.

I began Yerevan Journal on my main website, Road to Armenia, in 2003. In this blog, I will continue to report on life and culture in Yerevan and the Armenian homeland, and the opinions and thoughts of everyday people living here.
